On behalf of the IL APCO Executive Board I am excited to announce our newest member of the Executive Board. On Monday, January 18th during the IL APCO Board retreat I received unanimous consent of the Board to appoint Glenna Johnson to the vacant 2nd Vice President position.
Glenna is a lifelong resident of Illinois who has been involved in 9-1-1 for over 35 years in many positions. Starting in the telecom business, then moved to 9-1-1 regulated services, 9-1-1 sales, then to 9-1-1 consulting and mapping. In 2008 she became the DeKalb County 9-1-1 Coordinator and after her recent retirement took on the role a board member of the Dekalb County ETSB.
Over the years Glenna has dedicated much of her time to both IL NENA and IL APCO and many boards including being one of the original 9-1-1 SAB members. Most recently Glenna became a member of the Joint Legislative Committee for IL NENA and IL APCO where her vast knowledge and experience in 9-1-1 is greatly appreciated.
I know all of our Executive Board is looking forward to working with Glenna and I am thankful for her willingness to join the board.
